MOLLY'S BIRTHDAY! - This Thursday, October, 5, we will be celebrating the birthday of longtime Manatees friend & fanatee, Molly Smith, at The Rising Sun Inn in Telford, PA. There is a full moon that night! Showtime is 9:00 PM - 12:30 AM.
ACCORDION AT RON'S! - This Friday, October 6, i will be joining Randy Wagner & Joe Rizzo for an acoustic trio show at Ron's in Exton, PA. Showtime is 9:30 PM - 1:00 AM
WARNING: I will also be playing (more like manhandling) my new Hohner accordion, which i am still learning how to operate.
ANDY VERNON AT THE BLUE BELL INN! - This Saturday, October 7, we will be joined at The Blue Bell Inn in Blue Bell, PA, by Andy Vernon, percussionist for Philly Blanco. Andy was once a Mighty Manatees drummer and we are excited to be playing with him again. Showtime is 9:00 PM - 12:00.
JACKYARD CONCERT! - This Sunday, October 8, Ray Adkins & myself will be playing an all-ages, outdoor, afternoon, acoustic concert in Jack Rickenbach's back yard. This will be our second last outdoor show of the year. It is open to the public and snacks and beverages will be provided. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. The address is: 1558 Tanglewood Drive, Hershey's Mill Estates (NOT Hershey's Mill Village), West Chester, PA.
Note: Please park on the even-numbered side of Tanglewood Drive as they are on a curve. There is additional parking down the gravel road next to the house that leads to the tennis courts. Have you got all that?
TEAM JOAN'S F--K CANCER HALLOWEEN FUNDRAISER! - Mighty Manatees friend and wife of singer/bandleader Mike Greer, Joan Elizabeth Greer was recently diagnosed with cancer. Team Joan have put together a Halloween Fundraiser at The Country Creek Winery in Telford, PA, on Saturday, October 21, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It will be 5 hours of music by The Mighty Manatees and Mike Guldin and Rollin' & Tumblin' w/ special guests, raffles, silent auctions, and prizes for the best costume! So dress up, show up, cough up, and cheer up! Special thanks to Peggy Kerr.

MYSTIC CHURCH GOSPEL SHOW! - Mystic Vagabond Productions is presenting a gospel concert at The Rising Son Barn in Telford, PA, on Sunday, October 22. This will be an evening of churchical music featuring Jim Cavanaugh on drums, Randy Wagner on bass/vocals, Tim Hooper on keyboards/vocals, John Devin (formerly Johnny Kilman) on guitar/vocals, and myself. Showtime is 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM. Doors open at 5:00 PM. Good news for modern man!
THE ANNUAL LANNIGAN TURKEY BOWL aka OUR LAST OUTDOOR SHOW OF THE YEAR! - On Saturday afternoon, October 28, we will be playing our last outdoor show of 2017 in the field behind Justin's in Skippack, PA, w/ Mike Greer for the 6th or 7th Annual Lannigan's Turkey Bowl. This is an event that raises money for the amazing Children's Hospital Of Philadelphia (CHOP), and every year they choose one deserving family to assist. Showtime is 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
THE CREATURE BALL aka THE MANATEES MASQUERADE! - Later that Saturday night, October 28, right after playing The Turkey Bowl, we will be rolling up the road to to play The Creature Ball at The Local in Point Pleasant,PA. It's another chance to wear a costume! Dress as your favorite creature! Showtime is 8:00 PM - 12:00 PM
ONE SICK FRICK! - Mighty Manatees bassist/organist/vocalist/ and sound man/ Karl "K-Jo" Frick was recently hospitalized with a blood clot in his leg. After 7 hours of surgery and a 26" incision, Karl is now home from the hospital and the healing has begun. We will be holding a fundraiser for Karl in the next few months but he probably won't be playing with us again until the new year. We are sending lots of prayers and good wishes to our fellow band mate. Get well soon, K-Jo!
