Tomorrow we all celebrate Labour Day so by exception we send you our monthly newsletter one day to early. Mea Culpa!
As we already said in our last newsletter we will have the legendary Belgian New-Wave band Lavvi Ebbel playing at Kavka but we are happy to announce we were able to add some more New-Wave feeling to this evening by confirming Elements (ex Red Zebra).

Since we are in a Spring mood we still have again more goodies to win for you, our loyal BodyBeats newsletter subscriber!
Some various but nice cd’s, vinyl’s, and free tickets for some of our upcoming events!
All you have to do is reply to this newsletter with the correct answer to the following question:
What is the title of the first Portion Control album?
The lucky winners from our last competitions can be found here!
Thanks for your support and Stay tuned!
BodyBeats Productions & Kavka present:
Both bands should need no introduction anymore ... Portion Control as being pioneers of electro-industrial music from the early '80's inspiring bands like Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly and Orbital. Plastic Noise Experience emerging with the second (German) wave in the early '90's with 'Transmission', a release that quickly became a cult album. Meanwhile both bands kept on supplying us with countless dance-floor killer tracks, PorCon with classic like 'Chew You To Bits', 'The Great Divide' and the more recent 'Amnesia' & 'Deadstar' and PNE with tracks like 'Gold', 'Memory Flow' and 'Moving Hands'. Both bands are coming to Antwerp to promote their brand new releases 'Unrest In the Grime' (Portion Control) & 'Therapy' (PNE). Support for this night is Akalotz, an EBM combo from Germany. Afterparty beats & waves by DJ BORG vs SKULLSCRAPER (aka Dirk Ivens).  Tickets:  € 15 (presale) / € 20 (@ doors) >Facebook Event<
16.05. JOY DIVISION / IAN CURTIS Memorial Night @ JH Wommel

BodyBeats productions proudly presents::
Memorial Night

In remembrance of the 34st Anniversary of Ian Curtis's death and … the end of Joy Division, we invite you to come, remember and pay tribute to this legendary person and his band… And thus keeping their music alive! Speaking of keeping their music alive ... Curtis is the name of a Belgian Joy Division tribute band that succeeds to perform those cult classic songs, sounding  scarily close to the original. After this there will be a genuine New-Wave afterparty with of course a(n) (un)healty dose of Joy Division spun by DJ BORG.
28.05. NINE INCH NAILS - Pretty after Party @ Trix - Antwerp
BodyBeats Productions & Trix present:
After the success of the Depeche Mode After Show Party we decided to repeat this when NINE INCHE NAILS is playing our hometown Antwerp.
What can you expect? Well an after party with the best danceable Wave/(US)Industrial/
 Alternative/Electro that is out there and of course a(n) (un)healthy portion of NIN & NIN related stuff spun by our resident DJ BORG!
Good to know is that the music center Trix is located only 1500m from the Lotto Arena where NIN will play the very same night.

And don't worry about the day after ....
29.05 is a public holiday!!! So let's party hard!
Damage: € 5
20.06 Lavvi Ebbel 'Guns & Crêpe Flambeé Tour' + Elements @ Kavka

BodyBeats productions proudly presents::
Guns & Crêpe Flambeé Tour
+ ELEMENTS (ex Red Zebra)
LAVVI EBBEL was without doubt one of the most controversial bands of the Belgian New-Wave movement. In the early '80, the band gained the attentions of many with their successful singles like 'Give Me a Gun' and 'Victoria'. The band soon gained a solid live reputation and combination of guitarists (Marc De Wit and Chris Van Ransbeeck), pianist (Bea Van Ransbeeck), drummer Eric White, singer Luckas Vander Taelen, backing vocalist Kristien D' Haeger, backed by the brass player Jan Weuts gave them an unique and original sound. The group ceased to exist in 1983. Now, 30 years later Lavvi Ebbel is back in the original line-up, reinforced with Kloot Per W on bass.
ELEMENTS were founded in 2011. They are a continuation of the legendary new wave band RED ZEBRA, with bass player Sam Claeys on lead vocals. Johan Isselée (drums, synths), Geert Maertens (guitar), and Chris 'Hazy' Deneve (guitar, synths) completes the line up.
