Exhibition of Asafo Flags
Ongoing at Nubuke Foundation
 
 
 

The exhibition of the Asafo Flags is still on-going at the Nubuke Foundation.
This has been very educative and engaging as it has attracted different groups of people including students from the Ghana Institute of Journalism on two occasions, the Merton International School and the University of Ghana.

A selection of  affordable, beautiful, intricate and unique paintings and sculpture made by Ghanaian and Nigerian artists- Emmanuel Adiamah, Oko Martey, Yaw Obuobi, Ato Arinze, Majorie Kankam, Patrick Ugwaeze, Florence Benson, Sokenu Abenyoni, Kofi Dawson, Ogha Gbone Moses, Seth Clottey among others.

A young woman in a dream world, battling her mental fears.
This was accompanied by a multimedia dance piece exploring concepts of afro futurism and
identity through movement, sound and spectacle.

The second edition, curated by Koyo Kouoh, to promote the market for African arts alongside other events. Its purpose was to provide a platform for galleries, artists and curators to promote the reception of African art as a global interest.
Artists included Ibrahim Mahama, Peju Alatise(work on the left-'Missing' dediacted to abducted girls in Nigeria), Otobong Nkanga, Owusu-Ankomah...

Ehalakasa Slam

12 of Accra's finest spoken word performers will slam at the Nubuke Foundation to determine who ultimately wins the Ehalakasa Slam Champion 2014.
Who becomes Ehalakasa Slam Champion 2014? The slammers are: Chief Moomen, D.K Osei Yaw, Andy, Sedinam, Asantewaa (Poetra), Kwaku Rap, 100%, Bentino, Nana Yirenkyi, Slim One, Dominic Wolali and Poet Pobee.

Library is open to the public during normal weekday opening hours.
Check out Ohema Ohene's boutique now at Nubuke.
Grounds are available for cultural events or other private receptions.
