Harold
Reserve: updates and changes
You may have noticed a few
changes at Harold Reserve recently.
Here are the latest updates from the SIRA Parks and Reserves Working
Group:
- To protect the Reserve from soil erosion and bush
degradation, Pittwater Council has extended the handrail to Carols
Wharf. The rest of the railing is being repaired and will soon be
completed
- Council will be putting in water bars to protect the
Reserve from further erosion, and some planting will be taking place
- A new light has been installed next to the BBQ. On
behalf of SIRAC and all residents, I would like to thank Margaret
Stanley for her kind donation
- A new picnic table will be arriving soon
- Pittwater Council will be looking into a resolution
for all the water craft left in the Reserve. We will keep you updated
on that progress
Yours,
Sue Dickson, Team Leader

WOW September Lunch
Antonia
Kitching's: Seed FreedomMovement
Hi everyone,
Do you care about what you eat? Do you care about how animals are cared
for and managed?
Antonia Kitching has kindly offered to host a thought-provoking
September WOW get-together on Friday
20th September, so I'd be grateful if you could let me know ASAP
if you would like to come.
Unfortunately due to venue constraints, there will be a maximum of 14
people for this event.
Antonia has asked if everyone could go the following website www.vandanashiva.org/navdanya
to understand the importance of bio-diversity, so that we can become
more aware about what we are buying at the supermarket.
Cheers,
Jenny

Can anyone help ?
Fridge
repair
We are relatively new to the Island.
I am told this might be the place to ask if anyone knows anyone (or
even if they know anyone) who can re-gas or at least take a look at a
Jennair fridge.
I am desperately wanting to get my fridge fixed instead of the other
expensive option of getting 50 men to move it out and making more
landfill.
I am at a loss to get a technician from mainland to actually keep their
appointment.
If you can assist please contact me at shelleypeat@gmail.com
Cheers,
Shelley
