Springtime wiggles its toes and streches its fingers as the world moves to the halfway point of the Vernal Equinox....
In the land of Amanda West Music life is as usual - juggling recording, songwriting, touring, performing, booking, teaching, cleaning, balancing, loving, breathing, cooking, diaper changing, learning, organizing, forgiving.... Being.
In recent news, The Valentine Songologues made for an incredible evening and everyone agreed they should happen again. So, plans are in the works for 2014 ~ bringing women singer-songwriters together in honor of V Day, and in celebration of women's health, safety and empowerment. Yes! (See a lovely photo from the evening below).
Upcoming... On Thursday 3/21 (tomorrow!) I play at Breathe Yoga Studio in Los Gatos for a Rythmic Flow class at 7:15pm. We'll be stretching into Springtime under the joyful guidance of yoga instructor Christina Enneking (more details below). And mark your calendars for Monday June 10th, we'll be playing at Don Quixotes International Music Hall in Felton with the amazing two-man folk orchestra, Round Mountain
. More dates are on the website under shows
And last but not least, I am teaching music classes!
Mostly for children in the San Lorenzo Valley (if you know any 6-12 year olds, we have a Spring Break music camp
coming up)... But there are some other fun things, all listed on the classes
page, including a class on Sacred Pregnancy for which I'll be doing the music. I cannot believe how lucky I am to be able to share the joys of music in so many ways.
I hope your springtime is beautiful, and that you may find heaven in the flowers and eternity in the hours...
with music for growing and blossoming,
p.s. If you missed it before, this is a goofy little video from our KPIG radio show... hint, find the baby! http://youtu.be/z4QN13rtHj4
