2019 Nominating Conventions for 2019 Municipal Elections
Due to recent changes in the State Code our nominating conventions will be held Thursday, May 30th at 7 p.m. at the Huntsville Library, 131. S. 7400 E. in Huntsville. This year there are two, four year terms for Council Member seats. Both Nominating Conventions: Party #1 and our Town, will hold their Nominating Conventions at the Ogden Valley Library at 7 p.m. Chairman of Party #1 is Artie Powell. Chairman of Our Town is Rod Layton. 

Please plan to attend ONE of the conventions and show your patriotic duty by supporting your local neighbors and Town leadership.  Candidates must be registered voters of Huntsville Town, and live within Huntsville Town boundaries.  Nominees must be present or provide a written statement saying they agree to serve on the Town Council.  Nominees will then file a Declaration of Candidancy during the filing period of June 3rd -June 7th. Mayor Truett Letter to Residents
Mayor Truett is writting to let residents know of a new tool that can be used in case of an emergency in Town. The program is called "Code Red" and the letter from the Mayor is attached. Please take this opportunity to consider signing up for this service. Thank you!
 
Planning Commission Meeting for June is cancelled.
There will not be a Planning Commission Meeting for the month of June. If you have agenda items for July 25th, please contact Beckki at Town Hall. 801-745-3420.

Flag Fundraiser
Huntsville looks beautiful with the holiday flags provided by Troop 30. There is information regarding this flag fundraiser on the attached flyer. If you are interested, please contact Rex Harris at the contact information provided on the attached flyer. Thank You!
 
 
VIPS Program
The Weber County Sheriff's Department provides a Volunteer in Police Service Training. Those volunteers that are trained, act as an extra set of eyes and ears for the Sheriff's Office and perform mobile patrol shifts. We would encourage you to participate. If you would like to know more about the program, please see attached flyer for more information.
 
 
Green Waste Dump
The Green Waste Dump is open for the season. The dump is available to residents only and will be open on Saturday's from 10 am to 1 p.m. The cost is $5 a load or you can buy a 5 punch pass for $20. Only yard waste with a diameter of 4 inches or less will be accepted. Thank you!
 
Open Burn Season
Open Burn Season starts on March 31st and ends on May 30th. Please see attached handout for guidelines.

Park and Pavillion Reservations
We are now taking park and pavillion reservations. Pavillions are available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a fee of $40 for current Valley residents or $65 for non residents. Please contact Beckki at 801-745-3420 for reservations.
