Issue #131-------June 2016
So here we are... back and caught up from our long excursion overseas. We toured & ate & played a lot (as you can see at right), but we're finally ready to get down to business fully rested, recharged & ready to resume work on a new pattern for Fall!

So thanks for joining us today! Enjoy this month's edition of Kat Bytes & I'll be working quietly in the background if you have any questions!

 "Handbag of the Month" Gallery-
Congratulations to Paula Blass of Clay, AL!
Her "adorable" Porta-PocketsPLUS Purse Insert was the winner pretty much from the outset of our May 2016 contest! She wins a $25.00 SKD virtual gift certificate and a permanent place of honor in our Handbag Gallery. Click HERE to see her beautiful entry!

BUT...it's a new month and time to reset for a new contest,so just scroll down to see the eight fantastic entries you have to choose from for June!
(For BIGGER images: Click on each individual pic)

This yummy Quattro was created by Mary Lou Wightman of BC, Canada. She said she lucked up and got these beautiful fabrics from a woman who had to sell off much of her stash because she was moving across the country! Now that's what I call REALLY lucky!

Lillian Conti of Dayton, OH said that this Triple Play bag was a challenge but she’s really enjoying the compliments she’s receiving for it now and I can see why. She really did a fabulous job!

And this Quattro sure looks pretty in paisley, no? Martha Payne was encouraged to enter this beauty into our contest by members of her quilt guild in Dallas, TX because they fell in love with it!

And this Encore Purse Insert was created by Pam Campbell of AB, Canada as a gift for her daughter-in-law’s mom. She did a super job, and bet her purse is super-organized now because of it!

And was I thrilled when Pam Hays stopped by my booth in Paducah, KY? You bet, because she showed me the stunning Walkabout Wallet she had made which also happens to be the very FIRST Walkabout Wallet entered into this contest! Click HERE to see the organized interior!

And Regina Fultz of Richmond, KY told me that her new HipBag Hybrid was an absolutely perfect show bag. She love having everything at her fingertips while still being handsfree. Regina even made a matching Card Cozy!

And how do you like this eye-popping Wrapsody created by Kathryn Poche of Gonzales, LA. I wish you could’ve seen how excited she was to show it to me in person in Paducah, KY! The interior is just as pretty, click HERE to see it!

And last but not least, here’s Carmen Selzer‘s feline-inspired Cosmo Convertible.  Take special notice of Carmen’s expert fussy-cutting! She did such a great job that the flap pocket on the bag front is virtually unnoticeable!

So.... if you've ever lost a special cat friend, then you KNOW how difficult it can be and yet, in the aftermath of such a loss, have you ever been told that you just need to suck it up and get over it.... that he was after all, just a cat? Whether or not this is true for you or not, this post is an extremely well-written argument for why NONE of us have to explain the grief we feel in a loss of any type. Click HERE and see if you agree!
