Norman Solomon logoDear Friends,

UPDATE: In recent hours, the Marin Independent Journal and the Pacific Sun published articles on our momentum in the ballot counting, as the vote margin for the GOP's Dan Roberts has fallen to just 596. With more than 17,000 votes remaining to be counted in this congressional district, the Marin IJ reported:
Roberts, a Tiburon investment adviser, said he agreed with Solomon's calculation of the shrinking vote gap.

"I'm as confident as you can be with a 596-vote lead," Roberts said.
Please read on to see why our election protection work is so vital.

Best wishes,
Norman

Subject: New Vote Count: Gap cut by more than half

Dear Friends,

We have narrowed the gap with Republican Dan Roberts to less than half a percent -- 0.4% to be exact.

That means nearly 60 percent of the gap has disappeared since election night as more ballots have been counted.

Upwards of 17,000 ballots remain to be counted in several counties -- and our campaign remains committed to election protection work to ensure that every one of those votes is counted.

Goal ThermometerYou can support our election protection work by clicking here.

After ALL the votes in this race are counted, either Roberts or I will advance to the general election.

These next 7-14 days will be pivotal.
Sonoma and Humboldt counties are expected to report their uncounted votes for the first time during this period, and Marin County is expected to finish counting its last two thousand provisional votes as well.

Our Election Protection work continues unabated, and you can help us now.

I'm grateful that so many people have urged us to keep fighting for every vote by showing ongoing support with donations that make possible our monitoring of the vote count.

After we get through this election protection effort, I hope to see you at our What's Next event on July 7. Please read more about it in the updated note below from our Campaign Manager. Thanks again.

With appreciation,
Norman

Dear Friends,

As part of our post-primary re-organization, we are inviting you to our "What's Next" fundraiser and meet-up on Saturday, July 7 at our San Rafael headquarters at 874 Fourth Street from 3:30 - 6:30 PM.

It's just a few days after our Secretary of State certifies the final primary election results on July 3, as required by law. It also happens to be Norman's birthday, and we can't think of a better birthday gift for Norman than his supporters joining him for this party.

Please remain steadfast with us and support our efforts today:

  1. Election Protection work:
Help us ensure every vote is counted. Click here to help offset our mounting costs.

  2. What's Next fundraising party and meet-up on afternoon of Saturday, July 7 (3:30 - 6:30 PM):
Join Norman and fellow Solomon supporters as we discuss how we'll best move forward next. Click here to reserve your ticket today as a Norman Supporter.

  3. Birthday Wishes for Norman:
If you cannot make it to this party for Norman, you can still show your support by donating here.

As he has done over the past four decades of service, Norman continues to fight for our values. There's no quitting in him. It's why we're engaged in this work to protect and count every vote, because we don't quit either.

We need Norman's strong voice for all of us in Congress. Donate today to help put him there.

Thank you,

Dan Mullen
