It is scheduling time. Please look for our letter sent to your home. Please also encourage your child to sign up for the new honors classes that we have made available.

From Governor Snyder's speech last night, it sounds like we will be in for yet another school evaluation system. The newest one isn't even 60 days old yet. Between test changes and evaluation changes, I think we have had 7 major changes in 8 years but don't hold me to that. I can't keep track anymore! I have no problem with accountability but it is very hard to keep pace with the changes. I understand the State wants to get it right. We will continue to do our best but we are going to do what we believe is best for our kids and let the newest rating system fall where it may.

Two school shootings occurred in our country on Monday and Tuesday. School shootings have become so commonplace that they are hardly newsworthy on a national level. I hope the lack of attention translates to a major decrease in the number of shootings.
