SCOTLAND ISLAND POWER UPDATE

IMPORTANT
UPDATE TO RESIDENTS
Thursday 12
December
- Minor excavation works will be carried out alongside
the stairs leading up to Richard Rd from Ferry Wharf. Pedestrian access
will still be available up and down the stairs.
- Testing of the new section of submarine cable will be
conducted
- Supply to residences will switch from generator
supply to normal supply between midday and 6pm. This will result in an
outage for residents for approximately 3 hours within this timeframe
- Residents will have hot water Thursday night as their
tank will have heated as normal during the Wednesday night off peak
period
Friday 13
December
- Meter technicians will be visiting premises again to
reset hot water time clocks
Monday - Friday
16-20 December
- Underboring will take place under stairs leading down
to Ferry Wharf. Pedestrian access will still be available however will
be a little restricted. These works will not require interruptions to
your power supply
- Richard Rd at the top of the stairs will be
blocked by the underbore machine from Monday to Friday. The
remainder of Richard Rd around the Island will be accessible.
NOTE
Ausgrid
is not anticipating problems in restoring power to properties with
3-phase supply
The
four mobile generators will remain on the Island as a contingency plan
for the time being
Further
works will be scheduled for January commencing Monday 13th however this
will require minimal power interruption. More accurate dates and times
will be communicated closer to the date.
