Predator-3 PL for Pro Tools Inner Circle
|
We have spoiled the worldwide Pro Tools Inner Circle user base with Predator-3 PL!
This is a synthesizer player ‘sound module’ based on our popular Predator-3 synthesizer!
It offers top-notch audio quality combined with a vast amount of over 5200+ usable Presets in various music styles that make this synthesizer extremely useful in any music production.
Keep in mind that mixing and mastering studios, songwriters, and producers are often interested in using synthesizers and find usable and musical Presets to be the most important part of their workflow and not the sheer amount of available features.
The user interface of Predator-3 PL and the selected parameters mean that you still can tweak the selected Preset and make it fit perfectly in your song.
So if you are a Pro Tools Inner Circle user, check out your email/information that is provided by Avid!
Ps. After registration of Predator-3 PL on our homepage, you will find a fantastic upgrade offer to Predator-3 and to the big eXplorer-8 bundle... Just in case you would like more of our inspirational -Rob Papen- products. 😉

Yes, BIT 2.0 is on its way and we are aiming to release it at the end of March, or early April.
It will be the 3rd new product (at no cost) in the eXplorer-8 bundle as well!
BIT and its superb sound is - Rob Papen - his concept of recreating his own take on ‘virtual analog’ synthesizers. The classic analog machines like the Roland Jupiter-8, MiniMoog, and so on were merely an inspirational starting point in this re-imagining ‘take’ on those hardware classics of the past.
BIT already offers many different additional features, which already goes further beyond the well-known classics since it is all about - Rob Papen - and seeking new directions. BIT 2.0 will again include some new creative ideas and until then, you can enjoy BIT for a special price, including a free upgrade to BIT 2.0 !
The FREE update to BIT 2.0 offer is available only if you purchased BIT after the 1st of December 2022 onwards.

BLUE-III and NKS support delayed
|
BLUE-II and NKS support delayed This is a work in progress and takes far more time than expected.
The reason for this is the tagging of the over 4000 presets of BLUE-III.
Originally BLUE-II had no tagged presets and for NKS, this was all manual work at that time.
The NKS tagging has recently changed, so we could not transfer over all the NKS tagging from BLUE-II into BLUE-III.
Before we can send BLUE-III to Native Instruments to check, it will take again at least another week. So the release will now be in the first part of March at the earliest.
Of course, in the meantime, you still can enjoy BLUE-III even if it is not yet NKS compatible.
About BLUE-III
When it was first released in 2005 ‘BLUE’ already reflected Rob Papen’s cutting-edge,
creative, and — most importantly — musical approach toward developing virtual synthesizers. Rob Papen himself called it ‘Cross-fusion synthesis’ because it covered both Subtractive and FM synthesis in one creative concept.
With its successor BLUE-II, the ‘Cross-fusion synthesis’ was also expanded with a creative range of samples and the highly versatile XY pad. The concept for BLUE-III still remains true to that ethos with even more added sound dimensions and features to its extended name. Firstly adding our own take on ‘Karplus Strong String Model Synthesis’, new ‘Waveforms’, new ‘Filter types’, a new range of creative ‘built-in Samples’, and lastly the option for you as a user to load up to 6 samples inside each Preset.
BLUE-III’s GUI has received an overhaul including many different sizes, the XY pad is now always on the front panel. The audio engine has received DNA from our virtual analog synthesizer B.I.T. resulting in unsurpassed audio quality.Lastly, of course, this amazing instrument is shipped with 5000+ Presets by Rob himself and well-known industry sound designers.
BLUE-III is a phenomenally powerful virtual instrument to behold and represents an amazing journey into ‘Cross-fusion synthesis’!

Ron Boots & Rob Papen on stage
|
As some may already know, Rob Papen played in the Dutch synthesizer bands Nova and PERU.
Recently Rob started playing live again and together with Ron Boots the duo performed a tribute to the recently passed away electronic music legend that was ‘Klaus Schulze’.
After receiving many requests, Ron and Rob performed another gig at E-live with new material, which has been released on CD and is now available here.
If you live in Belgium, or close to Gent, check out this 2 days event in which Ron and Rob will perform their outstanding electronic music again!

It is, in our biased opinion of course, that Reverb plug-ins from - Rob Papen - are among the best-sounding ones on this planet! As you may already know, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde influenced our other FX plugin called DelSane, and it was a matter of time (4th dimension) before these two guys would show up for an insane battle and.... Voila, let us introduce you to RevSane!
First and foremost, RevSane produces beautiful dense reverb sounds, musically perfect for any track! But that is only one side of the story, or should I say face... By using the ‘Disrupt Sphere’ you can control the flow of the reverb parameters and make the RevSane a dynamically fresh-sounding special FX.
The ‘Disrupt’ parameter, with its many features, allows you to think outside of the 4th dimension by using Reverb in creative ways! Dynamically changing spaces ...without recording trillion parameters...by simply moving the ‘Disrupt Sphere-Slider’. Additionally, RevSane has an audio follower that includes side-chain control of the parameters, even for controlling the ‘Disrupt Sphere’ itself!
And no... RevSane is not only for the creative producers that love to experiment with the ‘Disrupt Sphere’, it is also for the one that seeks a top-notch dense-sounding Reverb for their productions!
The introduction video about RevSane can be watched here
Compatibility RevSane

Rob Papen 'The 4 Element Synth' |
Rob Papen Book & Video ' The 4 Element Synth '.
The first release of ‘The 4 Element Synth’ book had 4 DVDs and in today’s world, even DVD players are becoming rare! The re-release is now handled by a publisher and the 10 hours of video content is stored in the cloud and if you click here you can see a screenshot of how well the video content is organized according to the book and its chapters and sections.
The main reason why Rob Papen selected a publisher is that this way the book gets potentially a wider audience. After all, this book is a textbook and perfect for learning and understanding subtractive synthesis. It is mainly for the novice, intermediate... but if you are a real pro, you know that there is always something new to learn.
- Predator-4ES
In the book, Rob Papen uses hardware synthesizers but also the Predator plug-in. This plug-in is perfect for learning subtractive synthesis. So we have also released a study version of Predator called Predator-4ES. It contains all the presets used in the book/videos and even the original introduction bank. Predator-4ES is perfect for studying alongside the book, discovering, and playing around. The limitations of the plugin are that you need to use it in your music host program as there is no stand-alone version and that there is no saving preset option. So if you have purchased the book, feel free to download this study synthesizer from the homepage.
- Extras
There is also an extras page here, which allows you to open or download ‘The 4 Element Synth’ as PDF, the layout of the Synthesizer.com System-22 used in the videos, Predator-2 Presets and, 2 extra videos.
How to get hold of the re-released ‘The 4 Element Synth’ book?
- It is available here and now comes in 3 formats! Hardback, Paperback, and eBook!
- Music schools that would like to acquire multiple copies of the book, please check here.

If you own SubBoomBass-2 you can still install the first version of SubBoomBass?
Or that you still can install Predator 1.6, and Predator 2.0 if you own Predator-3?
Or BLUE, BLUE-II, in case you own BLUE-III?
Yes, you can!
We make sure that earlier versions of our products are still available because many producers would have used these versions in their older songs.
So the older products are always available on the download page. So for example, if you log in to 'My Products' and open the download page for Predator-3, you can scroll down, and you will also find the older versions available for download . Note that during installation, always use the serial listed, and in this example case the serial of Predator-3. |
In April 1982 Nova went number 1 in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg with our instrumental synthesizer track Aurora.
Nova was formed by Peter Kommers, Ruud van Es, and Rob Papen.
Since it was 40 years ago, Rob Papen re-created this track using the plugins and played the result during the YouTube Live Stream which can be watched here.
As the cherry on the cake, the Cubase song can be downloaded including the plugin presets used. Of course, you need to own the plugins used -Rob Papen- plugins B.I.T., Predator-3, and Punch-2 to play the track. Inside the info section below the YouTube stream video, you can find the information/downloads.

About NOVA told by Rob Papen on the YouTube 'Muzikxpress' you can watch here
The story behind NOVA Peter Kommers and Ruud van Es started to work together as Peru in 1979. Both shared an interest in electronic music and synthesizers.Following their acquaintance with Rob Papen at a Dutch Fanclub event of German electronic musician Klaus Schulze in 1980, Peru continued as a trio.As their first album Macchu Picchu gained some airplay, they got in contact with Willem van Kooten and decided to form another group next to Peru: Nova. One of Nova’s first tracks was Aurora, a song based on the Peru track Sons Of Dawn and released on single in Spring 1982, which became a number 1-hit in the Netherlands and Belgium. The trio worked with producer Chris Pilgram on their album debut Terranova, released in Autumn 1982 and climbed to #7 in the Dutch album charts in July 1982.In 1983 their second album Quo Vadis hit the stores, but also marked the end for Nova. From then on, Peter Kommers, Ruud van Es en Rob Papen continued as Peru.
