Our visitors, those individuals and groups that we mentioned earlier, have participated in worship and prayer, seen the Prayer House building, heard our testimony, and as part of that testimony heard something of the Father’s heart and the plans He has for Auschwitz-Birkenau. It’s also been good for us, because each time we share our testimony, something gets stirred or underlined in our hearts. And then from time to time we get a special moment when the Holy Spirit shows us something that we hadn’t see before…
So if you were one of those visitors, or if you have come to see us in the past, Cathy and I would like to say a big THANK YOU for coming to Auschwitz and for joining with us, even if it was just for a short time. You are the Living Stones that He’s using to build His Spiritual House that one-day will see the Glory of God in this place. We are so conscious that we cannot do this alone. The Spiritual House is being built as each living stone does its part – and as we respond to the Holy Spirit, He coordinates it all.
One of the groups that came to see us recently, we’ve known for a very long time. They are from Germany and we have a REALLY good relationship with them. This time when they came they said they wanted to do a prophetic act – they wanted to pour out wine on the land as a sign of God’s redemption.
Now this is something that a lot of people do here. But we haven’t – because the Lord told us not to! So when our dear friends suggested this, quite honestly, we didn’t feel very enthusiastic about it! After a wonderful day of worship and prayer they finally asked us for permission to pour out wine on the land. And Cathy and I both felt the Holy Spirit say “yes”! They then asked if we wanted to join them. And we both felt we should say “no”.
Much to our surprise they unpacked 12 bottles of King David Israeli wine, and I was thinking – wow, that must have cost something – and the whole group, comprising 7 Germans, poured out 12 bottles of red wine in a circle around the Prayer House. It was an extravagant expression of love and obedience.
The next morning the Holy Spirit spoke to me… Our Foundation (Living Stones) had owned the land for the Prayer House for 1.5 years, yet during the whole of that time God had not given us permission to pour out wine (representing the blood of Jesus) on the land. And this was because He didn’t want us to! The sin in Auschwitz-Birkenau was perpetrated by Germans (not the British) so God wanted to use Germans to cleanse the land.
There were 12 bottles of wine and 12 represents heavenly government or rule, which means God is establishing His Heavenly Government on the land. The wine was “King David” wine from Israel. Wine represents blood, and the blood of Jesus – the Son of David – is the only blood that is able to cleanse sin from the land. There were 7 Germans who poured out the wine and 7 represents perfection or completeness. We felt that what had happened was complete – it wouldn’t need to be done again.
Isn’t it amazing what God can do when we hear and obey the Holy Spirit!
Then, about 2 months later, we had another visitor. The Holy Spirit told her to buy 3 bottles of the purest olive oil and pour it around the Prayer House in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This would dedicate and set apart the building to the Lord, in the same way that the tabernacle of Moses had been dedicated and set apart to the Lord. She didn’t know ANYTHING about the wine. This time Cathy and I both felt we should accompany her. So we walked with her as she poured out 3 circles of oil around the building. When she finished – wow – there was such a feeling of lightness and joy in the Holy Spirit!!!
So as the building is going up we feel that God is also making preparations. One picture the Lord gave us some years ago when we were asking Him about the Prayer House, was of a major railway station. The railway station was a hub of activity. Trains were coming in and going out. And there were buses, coaches, cars and taxis that were arriving and leaving. When I think about the last 2 months it felt just like that. We’re amazed to see how the Lord is bringing people from all over the world.
Now for the building update.
The main news is that ground floor of the building (stage 2) is complete! Thank You Lord!! The reinforced concrete ceiling was poured a couple of weeks ago and everything is now getting prepared for the next stage of the building, which is the top floor and the roof (stage 3). There are material shortages in Poland so the clay blocks for the walls have already been delivered, and the roof tiles (more than 4300 of them) were ordered a week ago. The builder is not taking any chances!
Here’s the view from the outside taken today. The builders are using a lift to move the building blocks to the top platform in preparation for stage 3.
