No One But Yourself (Wolf’s Song For Marilyn)
I’m selfish and impatient and a little insecure
I make mistakes, I’m out of control and at times
I’m hard to handle
But if you can’t handle me at my worst
Then you sure as hell don’t deserve me
At my best
I believe everything happens for a reason
People change, you must learn to let go
Things go wrong,
So you appreciate them when they’re right
You believe lies, so you eventually trust no one
No one but yourself
Sometimes good things fall apart
So better things can fall together again
For imperfection is beauty
A little madness is genius
And it’s better to be slightly ridiculous
Than absolutely boring
Be no one but yourself
No, no one but yourself
Be no one but yourself
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
No one but yourself
It’s better to be unhappy alone
Than unhappy together
It’s better to be hated for what you are
Than to be loved for what you’re not
If I’d observed all the rules I’d never got anywhere
And yet I don’t want to be ruthless
I just want to be wonderful
Sometimes good things fall apart
So better things can fall together again
Imperfection is beauty
A little madness is genius
And it’s better to be slightly ridiculous
Than absolutely boring
Be no one but yourself
No, no one but yourself
Be no one but yourself
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
No one but yourself
Sometimes good things fall apart
So better things can fall together again
Imperfection is beauty
A little madness is genius
And it’s better to be slightly ridiculous
Than absolutely boring

Lyric based on quotes from Marilyn Monroe
