As the mornings and evenings turn cooler and we start to see the first hints of fall, we have found ourselves planning our cold weather projects. Robyn is day dreaming of a new sweater for herself (the Weekender Light) while Sarah is already thinking about Christmas gifts. For most knitters, the change from the warm months to the cooler months signals the time to pick the yarn back up and plan all of the projects that will sit on your needles and hooks for the next several months. Will this be the Autumn of socks or will it be the year you finally tackle that sweater pattern you've had your eye on? No matter what the project, we are here to guide you through it!

We made a couple of changes to better accomodate shop traffic as things pick up in the Fall. We are legthening Saturday hours to 11am-4pm and we are now allow three people at a time in the shop. We hope to be able to increase both of these numbers in the coming moths.

Appointments for private shopping can still be made at least 24 hours in advance via phone or email.

If you don't feel comfortable coming inside or you want to grab something quick, we are still offering contactless curbside pickup during any of the shop hours. There are THREE ways to order from us: you can e-mail us at rebellegirls@gmail.com, you can call us at 859-389-9750, or you can order some of the kits we have assembled in our online shop. If you order by phone or e-mail we will email you an invoice and you can choose to pick up your order during shop hours or have it mailed directly to you. For curbside pickup, give the shop a call when you arrive and we will place your order on the porch.

LYS Day!!
LYS Day is here!! It looks a little different this year, but we have patterns from Malabrigo, Blue Sky, Plymouth, Cascade, and Knitting Fever that will be free with yarn purchase as well as some giveaways in the shop and on our social media. Join us (in person or online) in celebrating yarn shops!!

New in the Shop!!
The September colorway of the Emma's Crazy Beautiful Color Club is here and it is giving us the first shivers of fall. The gold is both bright and warm like the end of summer sun with flecks like falling leaves. We really like this coolor paired with Tealicious, Glamping, and Stiletto. Perfect for any of Laura Dobratz's shawl patterns
We have had a great summer with the National Parks Yarn Club from Knitted Wit.For those who didn't participate last year, the parks yarns come with a passport and you will get a stamp for each one you buy. At the end of the summer, turn in your passport to us and if you have four stamps you get a patch and if you have 16 stamps you will get a pin. We only have a limited stock of this summer's colorways left, but we did reorder some of the colors and now they are available in the shop or in our web store. Transport yourself to another place while you craft the parks.
We just received a big Katrinkles restock including all of your favorite notions and a few new ones. Among the new items were these arcylic Cat-trinkle stitch markers and needle guages sure to brighten up any knitting project while celbrating your favorite furry friend. Also included in the order were stichable ornaments, project tags, Kentucky stitch markers, adjustable sock blockers, and ...
Darning Looms!!! These little three part looms make visible mending of your knitware easy and fun. They are a great way to breathe new life into an old project, but also a great way to get more wear out of handmade and commercially made clothing.

Virtual Events!!!
For the September shop KAL, we will be focusing on texture. Texture in your knitting (or crochet) can be made in so many ways from mixing yarn types to mixing stitches to mixing techniques. This knitalong (or weave along or crochet along) is all about experimenting with textures in any way you chose. Robyn created a Ravelry bundle with several pattern ideas if you need some help finding the perfect pattern. She is also available if you need help finding a pattern for a particular set of yarns or a technique you want to learn.

All ReBelle knit alongs are free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the KAL sessions as you like.

For October's shop KAL, we will be doing another designer focused project this time using the designs of Andrea Mowry. There are tons of designs to choose from including projects from past knit alongs like the Shiftalong Hat and the Comfort Fade Cardigan so if you happen to have started one of those, October would be an excellent time to finish it up. For those of you longing to get something new on the needles, Robyn created a Ravelry bundle with several pattern ideas if you need some help finding the perfect pattern. She is also available if you need help finding a pattern for a particular yarn.

All ReBelle knit alongs are free and open to the public. You are welcome to attend as many or as few of the KAL sessions as you like.

We have decided to continue hosting Tuesday evening (7-9pm) stitch-ins on Zoom every week for the remainder of the summer. Community is important and we found that these virtual meetups are a great way to fight cabin fever and to connect with other crafters. Plus, if you find yourself stuck on a project, there will always be someone there to help you out. All stitch-ins are free, join us every Tuesday at 7pm!!
