Forum Pulire 2014: Qualification of an industry still poorly recognized
    .....

This is the unanimous call of the whole sector of professional cleaning and integrated services, that met at Forum Pulire 26 and 27 March

Respected names in the business, manufacturing, institutional and academic world met at the second edition of Forum Pulire, the two- day event held in Milan that has faced the most topical issues in the world of professional cleaning and integrated services. An industry composed of more than 23,000 companies and 500,000 employees with about 11 billion in revenue between production, distribution and services. Important numbers which, however, do not allow the industry to receive full recognition by the institutions .

An event that has brought together over 340 delegates from all over Italy on 26 and 27 March this year, with the attendance of all the market players. Companies and facility management services recorded the largest presence, 37 per cent of those present. The manufacturers were 23 per cent 17 per cent distributors, 15 per cent of associations and representatives of end users, 8 per cent from the worlds of communication and counseling. A wide audience has followed with high attention the seminars of the two days that encountered a growing interest on the part of the participants.

Two studies edited by Coesis Research were presented for the first time: the first on the drivers of choice in the allocation of services of cleaning and hygiene, the second on the legality perceived among the Italian population and among operators in the sector. These studies, forthcoming, will provide elements for the development of a common strategy in order to give the sector the attention it deserves.

The needs for rationalization and innovation, development and rule of law were highlighted and reaffirmed the common cry against the public procurement with the lowest financial offer. The focus was to promote the respect for the rule of law at all levels, from the allocation of contracts to the controls on the phases of execution, to the rules on the job. Forum Pulire highlighted the need for greater communication between the world of companies and institutions, to reverse the trend of recent years of crisis.

From the manufacturers’ point of view, it was pointed out that the export has always increased, confirming a scenario with many opportunities. Therefore an encouragement to counter the generally negative trend of the market and to stimulate to proceed, as the various stakeholders in Forum Pulire argued, driven by innovation. Focus also on the supply chain and the distribution channel, an essential link between manufacturers and end users. The dealers are also victims of late payments, especially by the public administration, a plague which struck the entire sector.

There are many signs for the future, among them the work of associations to propose a draft framework law that will hopefully see the light in the coming months. The goal is to qualify integrated services, rationalize and implement them to make more efficient public spending, without producing negative effects on quality of services and employment. To give an adequate representation and visibility to the sector, Forum Puliremakes an appointment to 2016.

Forum Pulire is a platform to connect and to discuss the certain issues of the buisness

"Forum Pulirewas reconfirmed as the meeting point for excellence among all the players in this sector. It was an opportunity to qualify everyone's expectations and identify a line of discussion for the development of the entire market," said Toni D'Andrea, CEO Afidamp Services, which organized the Forum on behalf of Afidamp. "The fact that all the major companies in the industry were present and that the industry associations have actively contributed to the success of the event is only the confirmation of the need to share problems and solutions."

"We are particularly proud of the success of this year's Forum Pulire, which has shown that there is a real need to create a system, a word too often abused in Italy but very little yield effective and updated. The work carried out in recent months with trade associations has shown that the industry is ready to be heard. We are preparing to be recognized for our value and we do not want to be perceived as a sub -skill, low- relevance sector, "said Matthew Marino, President of AfidampFAB.

"We firmly believe that events such as Forum Pulire represent a turning point for an industry that needs to communicate on the inside, with institutions, with public opinion. Many topics were discussed, each of which deserves to be developed in -depth courses, "added Francesco Bertini, President of AfidampCOM.
