Dear Native Plant Conservation Campaign Leaders:
We are still hoping to schedule a national conference call. The target period is mid-January, 2017.
We propose the following topics for discussion:
- progress and challenges that occurred this year among the Affiliates
- How to strengthen plant conservation at the local level – collaboration with land trusts and state and local resource and wildlife agencies.
- important plant areas program
- What kinds of resources NPCC should provide for Affiliates: e.g. attorneys, comments on land management plans, resources for strengthening plant conservation within land trusts, potential webinar topics and speakers (e.g. land trust experts,native plant gardeners, etc.)
- Fundraising
- National conference
- How the election may affect plant conservation and change the strategies and priorities of the NPCC
- Affiliates Priorities for 2017.
- you would like to participate in such a call
- these are useful topics, and
- there are other topics we should be talking about.
