Inside Story Quite a bit is going on for a lot of the amazing people who have graced the Portland Story Theater stage. Here are a few of the highlights: As you may know by now, Lawrence Howard has been invited to tell his one-man solo show, Shackleton's Antarctic Nightmare, at the United Solo Festival in New York City! (Did you catch Marty Hughley's article in The Oregonian?) Lawrence's show will be Off-Broadway at Theater Row, The Studio Theater on Wednesday, October 24th. As a gift to local fans of this gripping, true story, there will be a Special Send-Off Show at Hipbone Studio on October 20 at 8 PM. Penny Walter has been invited to tour Columbia this fall with Dream On Productions, an organization that provides educational entertainment all over the world. Eric Stern launched his new opera company, Hungry Opera Machine, and has a CD coming out soon. Slash Coleman is launching a monthly internet TV show in New York called Slash Wednesday. Michele Carlo is presenting her one-woman show, Fish Out Of Agua this month at Under St. Mark's in the East Village, New York. Lynne Duddy is working with David Diamond of Headlines Theatre to experience his Theatre for Living in Vancouver, B.C. later this month.
