Happy Spring and Happy Mother's Day!
I'm in Southern California enjoying the sun and seeing all of my family on a combined birthdays and Mother's Day celebration. The last few months has taken me all over. The trip to Turkey was amazing; we had a fantastic international group with participants from Argentina, Brazil, the US, Germany, France, the UK and Australia. It just keeps getting better and better each year and I can't wait for the next one!
ANAR DANA Berlin is coming along nicely...that is also a really interesting coming-together of women from all over Germany, Poland, Sweden and even (believe it or not) French Guiana! ANAR DANA San Francisco had it's final recitals in April with two full-house performances. Now we are all excited about starting a new project...the introduction will be in October.
ANAR DANA Seattle will be performing at our
fantastic NW Folklife Festival over Memorial Day weekend and then we have our end recitals on June 14th & 15th at the Broadway Performance Hall in Capitol Hill. Tickets are already on sale at
