Next Wednesday we have a change from the published programme. Peter Metelerkamp is unfortunately unable to come this week so Mike Bews has swapped him with the evening originally scheduled for 31 July which is a recorded presentation of the RPS Nature Group Exhibition. Peter will therefore appear on 31 July.

2013 Photography Course
There are still a few places left on this year's Photography Course.
This is an ideal opportunity for those members (and friends & family) who are just starting out on the photographic highway. The course provides an introduction to photography for those who have little or no experience or technical knowledge. It is also suitable for anyone wishing to refresh or expand their existing knowledge and expertise. The course aims to start students taking photographs immediately. You do not have to be a member of the Society to enrol on the course.
The Tuesday Evening Classes consist of either a lecture followed by small group discussions or a practical session.
Course Lectures
- Composition
- Understanding Your Camera
- Introduction to the use of Digital Photo-Editing
- Holiday & Travel Photography
- Action & Sports Photography
- Night Time Photography

Last weekend Anthea Golding took part in the Race for Life 5K run on the Downs. She has now got her breath back (and thankfully had a post race shower!) and has sent the following words:
An enormous “thankyou” to all those who sponsored me for last Sunday’s Race for Life in support of Cancer Research UK. I greatly appreciate your support and generosity and am delighted to have raised £220 for this worthwhile cause.
Many thanks
Anthea.

Anyone Going To Connah's Quay?
|
I've had a request from Sue O'Connell to ask if anyone will be going to the PAGB Interclub Print Competition at Connah's Quay in October. Sue is looking for someone to collect some of her prints for return to the clubrooms. If you can help, can you please email Sue at this address: sueoconnell@mac.com

If you want to blow your own trumpet or, dare I say such a thing, blow someone else's trumpet for them, then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include it in the next issue.

If you have something photographic that you want to sell, why not let me have details and I can circulate them to a captive audience of photographers through the Newsletter - send to the usual address.
|
If you have anything you think other members would like to know about, such as exhibitions, special events etc. please let me know at newsletter@bristolphoto.org.uk
