Creative Photography - A Message From Bob Faris
Following the recent Round 1 of the Projected Image Competition, Bob Faris felt compelled to pen the following from his hospital bed:

Unfortunately I was unable to join you for last Wednesday's Zoom PI (23 Sept) meeting but Paula enjoyed seeing the Creative theme entries and has given me a comprehensive report on them all. I would like to congratulate all the entrants for what I believe was a good competition with an improved general standard of creativity.
This bodes well for the future of the 'Creative' competition and I look forward to next year's full competition, when the trophy will be up for grabs again.

In the beginnings i.e. the dawn of photography back in the 19th century, 3 components played a major part in its creation. These components are expressed in modern form in the trophy: the square box camera; the round lens and the triangular tripod.

Bob

World Natural Heritage Exhibition
Well done to Sue O’Connell who has had an image accepted in this exhibition, which is hosted jointly by FIAP and the Chinese Artistic Photographic Society as part of the annual Photo Beijing event. Entries this year had to "showcase the unique natural scenery and ecosystem of one of the 252 natural sites from the UNESCO World Heritage List” together with a description. Sue’s successful entry, shown below, is of the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls, taken from the Brazilian side.
