New Firmware for ProMark 120, ProMark 220 and MobileMapper 120
New Firmware is available for the ProMark 120 and ProMark 220:
GNSS Service Layer: 2.2 W213Hw26
GNSS Toolbox: 3.5
You can download these updates from the Spectra Precision website:
log in, then click on GNSS Surveying, ProMark 120 or ProMark 200, then Support.
Alternatively a single ZIP file is available [ here ]
A description of the changes can be found [ here ] and [ here ]
While updated firmware is not available on the Spectra Precision website for the MobileMapper 120, I can confirm that the MM120 is shipping with the same GNSS Service Layer and Toolbox that is provided for the ProMark 120.
FAST Survey to SurvCE 3.0 Crossgrades
If you have an older data collector running FAST Survey version 3.1 that is not supported by the latest releases of FAST (like the Allegro CX), it is possible to crossgrade to the latest version of SurvCE 3.02 at a very reasonable price.
Drop me a note if you have questions.
Carlson End of Year Specials (available now through 12/31/2013
I am including notes on Carlson desktop solutions because they are the natural complement to FAST Survey data collection software (other than version numbers and splash screens FAST Survey and SurvCE are twins.) Because these two products are essentially identical, all of the SurvCE videos posted on the Carlson Software site [ here ] are applicable to FAST Survey.
If you are looking for a high performance Survey aware desktop solution, Carlson Survey or Civil Suite will do you a good turn.
Carlson Civil Suite 2014 is available on an end of year special. The special includes an additional 12-months maintenance (15-months total) and sports a 26.8% factory authorized discount.
Carlson Survey 2104 Embedded is available for $2,695 (a $300 savings.) Please drop me a note for pricing on the IntelliCAD based Carlson Survey.
Carlson CADnet is available with 1 year of maintenance for $995 (normally $1,754.) CADnet allows you to extract CAD from non-CAD documents like PDF’s, raster images and paper plan sets. This is a pretty neat trick, this [ video ] shows some examples.
