In The News...

We are lucky to have Lori's latest articles from the Dayton Daily News.  Learn how to give back to others, while also breaking those habits that hold us back:

Pricing Quandry...

Have an item you want to sell, but you aren't sure what it's worth?

Pretend like you want to buy the item you are selling.  Go to eBay, Craigslist, Consignment Shops or Auctioneer sites.  See what other people are asking for the item you want to sell, but keep in mind that the asking price isn't necessarily what some people paid for the item.  If possible, find auctions that have ended and see what the real selling price was.

A Day At The Office...

March 13th is National Organize Your Home Office Day!

Does your home office have piles of toys in the corner or a basket of laundry waiting to be folded?

Ask yourself what you are trying to accomplish in the space.  What are your productivity goals?  If your home office has turned into a catch-all for excess stuff in your house, it is time to organize.

Remember not to treat your home office like every other room in your house, but instead consider it a professional space.  Eliminate all of those things that don’t serve a work purpose, or designate a special drawer just for home items.  On a regular basis, return those stray items that creep into your office to where they really belong in the house.  Don’t forget to tell your family members the purpose of your home office, so they respect the space too.

Lose Your Stuff, Find Yourself...

Enjoy this excerpt from Lori's new book, "Lose your Stuff, Find Yourself."

"It’s human to feel emotions as you walk through your home making decisions on what you keep and part with. Cry when you need to cry. Reminisce. Feel joy. Appreciate the items that served their purpose, but do not let your emotions get in the way of making the changes you desire."
