Dear Coalition Members,
A special thanks to all of you for making our Annual McKay Conference an incredible success. This year’s theme was “Focus on the Future” and that is what we did. Common Core Standards, Effectively Marketing our Schools for Growth, and Utilizing Meaningful Assessments to Guide Instruction were just a few of the topics that will help us to Focus on Our Future.
If you were unable to attend the conference, we will be presenting some of the information on the website in the coming months.
A special thanks to all of our sponsors for supporting the event and to all of our speakers for bringing their knowledge and expertise for us to learn from. This year our Distinguished Service Award was presented to Laura Harrison of the FLDOE Office of Independent Education and Parental Choice. She is well deserving for all of her work on behalf of Florida’s children.
The years ahead will present new challenges and opportunities for all of us in education. The Coalition is here to help you with those challenges, if you have not joined or have not renewed your membership please do so today, we are much stronger together than we are separately.
