1.  Lorrene's Blog...
If someone is missing their music, I have it.  It was found just outside the door to the Annex after rehearsal last evening.  I'll bring it next Monday and you can claim it.

Well, we had our one 'less than stellar' rehearsal last night.....glad we got it out of the way.  It's ok to have one low energy rehearsal, but we have to bounce back this coming Monday.  We need to solidify what we will be singing at Brookdale on Tuesday, November 28 and need to keep working on continuity in our program for December 9.

Please plan to be at Brookdale at 6:30 pm.  The facility is locked, so I'd like us to go in as a group; that way the folks that work there only have to unlock and relock the door a few times.  The facility is very warm, so dress accordingly.

Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday.  I'm thankful for all of you and the joy you bring into my life.
Love,
Lorrene

6.  Tickets...Please...
Sherrie said it Monday night, "Ticket sales help keep us afloat." About a quarter of our semester costs or $1,800 should come from ticket sales or we will come up short. That wouldn't mean disaster; we do have a cushion from successful events in previous years. But, your Steering Committee is committed to providing future choruses that same insurance by breaking even or making a modest surplus with our concerts.  We understand that all are of different means but please do try your best to sell tickets.  Besides, as Lorrene said, "It's a lot more fun to sing to an audience!"
7.  Ushers for the Concert...
We will be looking for 4 ushers for our Dec 9th Concert.  Arrival time for them would be 3:00 PM (doors open at 3:30  PM.)  They will receive free admission to the concert and will have an experienced House Manager to co-ordinate and answer any questions.  Must bring a smile 😊  See Sherrie or email voicespres@gmail.com
8.  Help Promote Our Concert...
Our concert Facebook event page is available at:

Please share widely to help promote our concert!

9.  After-Concert Reception...
Linda Hendricks has again offered to co-ordinate the after concert-reception for us but we will need to supply the food and beverage.  Please bring finger food "sweet or savory" and drinks (no alcohol is permitted at the venue.)  It would be helpful, if you are baking, to include an index card with ingredients or at least those ingredients that could pose an allergy problem for some.  It's also helpful to note if the goodies are vegan or vegetarian.  We will be inviting the audience to join us so please bear that in mind when bringing your contribution.

Anyone who can stay to help clean up..... a few busy hands make light work.

10.  Calendar Sales - A Few Left!...
Calendar Sales will continue for one more Monday!

Thank you to all of you who sold Waterfalls calendars!  We may have a few extra, so if you would still like some, check with Bronwyn 220-3219 / BJQMohlke@gmail.com
10.  A Peek Into 2018...
Excitement is gathering for our Spring 2018 program “Great Expectations: Songs of Hope.”  We will feature music from around the world that inspires, refreshes, validates and encourages in the face of these harsh times of divisiveness and strife. Unique to this concert will be a community sing including guests from other area choruses -- building bridges of hope in our community. Please plan to join us and invite others who might enjoy this experience. Online registration will be available in late November at: http://acithaca.org/groups/voices/join/.
11.  Check Out Our New Website...
We have moved to our new website and we invite you to take it for a spin.

After you land on the home page, you can scroll down through each of the choruses and find links to each of the chorus pages.  At the bottom of each page, you will also find direct links to each chorus page.

Each website page features a chorus-specific calendar with rehearsal and concert dates.  There is also a "Calendar of Events" link found at the top of each page that includes the rehearsal and performance dates of all the choruses

On the Voices "Music" page, you will find links to YouTube videos for the semester music.  On the "Music Files for Practice" page you will find audio files for pronunciation and each voice part.  On the "Weekly Newsletter" page are links to each of the semester's email newsletters, updated each Thursday.

If you want to contact the ACI Board, a chorus steering committee, the webmaster or if you have a general question, email links are found on the "Contact" page.  The direct link for this is found at the top of each website page.

We will (for the first time), be able to update pictures periodically and welcome hi-res submissions from members and friends.  Contact the Webmaster if you wish to submit a picture.

There is still much work to be done on the website and if you find something that does not work correctly or some other type of error, send an email to the Webmaster and we will see that a correction is made.

Please remember to avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, essential oils and other scents to rehearsals and performances as they create respiratory discomfort for some of our singers.

Looking for a way to exercise your voice between rehearsals? Cyberbass is free website that has sizeable list of vocal warmups that play on your computer, smartphone or tablet. You can also purchase CD's with various exercises and warmups if you choose.  Go to
