Haftarah Plethora Miketz 
In this week’s Haftorah Plethora, the boys delve into Ezekiel, whom Robert Alter calls the strangest of all the prophets. Larry sings and Rick coins the term “tropomatopoeia” as they explore Ezekiel’s call for national unity.
 
The Mishnah Study Group will be gathering to learn on December 26th with Norm Green.
 
Library Minyan Talk: Carl Laemmle and the Jews of Baden-Wurttemberg
On December 29 at 7:00 pm, Deborah Blum will speak about: “Carl Laemmle and the Jews of Baden-Wurttemberg.” Sharing the findings of her research for the documentary she and Warren Blum are producing, she will speak about how Carl Laemmle, her grandfather’s cousin and founder of Universal Studios — born in Laupheim, Baden-Wurttemberg — rescued hundreds of Jews from the area in the late 1930s.
