Chers amis,
Cap vers la réserve du chouf pour ce Dimanche. Nous passerons par l’entrée de Ain Zhalta pour commencer notre rando dans une superbe foret de cèdres qui débouche plus loin sur un sentier menant à un lac artificiel spécialement conçu pour les besoins en eau des animaux de la réserve.
Nous continuerons pour atteindre le sommet qui offre une une vue aérienne de la vallée de la beqa. La marche est de niveau moyen/avancé : 2h aller (montée) + 1h30 retour (descente).
Après la Rando, nous irons chez Houssam (guide responsable à la réserve) pour un déjeuner préparé par une femme de la région. Ceci s’inscrit dans notre action à faire bénéficier la communauté locale.

Distance : 8 Kms
Durée de la marche : 3h30 – 4h
Difficulté: Niveau moyen/avancé
Dénivelé : Positif 500 mts
Dénivelé Négatif 500 mts
A prévoir: chaussures de marche, bâtons de marche, sac à dos, gourde (pleine),chapeau, lunettes de soleil, crème solaire, et coupe vent.
Le prix: par personne est de 63$ incluant le transport en bus, l'assurance, les guides, l'entrée a la réserve et le dejeuner.
Faisabilité: Il faut être au minimum 15 inscrits pour que la sortie ait lieu.
Le rendez vous est à 7:30 am précise au parking qui est près de l’urgence de l'hôpital du Sacré Cœur à Hazmieh. Pour y arriver prendre la bifurcation à droite juste apres Pain d'Or. C'est le 1er parking a votre gauche. Soyez Ponctuel !

Dear friends,
For this Sunday, we will head towards the Shouf reserve. We will use the Ain zhalta entrance to begin our hike in the gorgeous cedar forest. After a while we will reach a path leading to an artificial lake especially made for the reserve’s animal drinking needs.
We will continue to reach the top that offers an aerial view of the Bekaa valley.
The hike is a Medium Advanced level (2h uphill and 1h30 downhill).
After the hike, we will have lunch at Houssam’s garden. It is prepared by a woman of the village. This serves our commitment to help economically the local community.
Practical details:
Distance : 8 kms
Hike duration : 3h30 - 4h
Difficulty: medium/advanced level of difficulty
Uphill : 500 mts
Downhill: 500 mts
What to bring: walking shoes, walking pole, back pack, water, sunglasses, sun screen, lipstick, hat and wind breaker (K-way).
Cost: 63$ covering guides, transportation, insurance, entrance to the reserve and lunch.
Feasibility: A minimum of 15 persons is required.
The meeting is at 7:30 am at the parking next to the Emergency Entrance of the Sacré Cœur hospital Hazmieh. To reach it, turn right towards Pain d'Or. The Parking is the 1st one on you left. Please, be on time!
