This year, the coveted awards that recognise design, function and innovation will be handed out for the sixth time. The presentation ceremony will take place on 22 September at the opening event of CMS. Messe Berlin invites exhibitors to submit entries in five categories for 2015.

Good design gives manufacturers a competitive edge
Companies have recognised that good design is an innovator and contributes to economic success. Good design goes hand in hand with new functions, processes and technologies as well as new materials and products and services. Design makes it easier for customers to accept new products. Good design focuses on users, their needs and habits, with an emphasis on intuitive ease of use. It boosts sales of innovative products on the market. Design-oriented companies have a distinct competitive edge and benefit from their innovative capabilities, greater customer loyalty and from establishing a long-term positive brand identity.
