Elected Chairperson of Clann Credo
 
Tom Finlay, former head of Bank of Ireland Asset Management Irish Business (1994-2001), has been elected as Chairperson of Clann Credo - the Social Investment Fund. Mr Finlay previously served as Chairperson of both the Irish Association of Pension Funds and the Irish Cancer Society, and he is currently on the boards of a number of companies based in the International Financial Services Centre (ISFC).
 
Clann Credo – The Social Investment Fund is a leading finance provider for community, voluntary and charitable groups, community business and social enterprises. The organisation specialises in Social Finance, an innovative finance system that unlocks social returns through enhanced investment in social and community investments. Clann Credo approved loans to the value of €7m during the first eight months of 2010, at a time when credit from other sources was limited.
 
Mr Finlay has been a Member of Clann Credo’s Board since 2004 and he served on the Irish Pensions Board between 2000 and 2005. He is currently Principal of the Finlay Consultancy, which advises on relationship management/customer service and provides executive coaching and group facilitation.
 
The Board of Clann Credo would like to record its appreciation and thanks to its outgoing Chairperson, Jerry Butler, for his valuable contribution over the past years. Mr Butler continues to serve on the Board.
