TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES - On Sunday, July 14, The Mighty Manatees will be hosting a tribute to The Beatles at The Country Creek Winery in Telford, PA. This is an all ages, outdoor show. Many musical guests will take part including "Beatle Bob" Tomlinson, Eric Worthington & Graham Ford of Karmic Repair Co., Charlie Phillips (and his sitar), Dr. Ben Grisafi, "Big Daddy" Scott Gourley, Mike Greer, Ray Adkins, Ras Mykyl, Karl "K-Jo" Frick, Joe "Jozo" Rizzo, Tim "T-Ho" Hooper, Randy "Dee" Wagner, and more! Doors open at 2:30 PM. Showtime 3:00 - 8:00. Adults: $20, Children 10 - 16: $10, Children under 10: Free.

KIMBERTON PARK FREE CONCERT - Some of you may have attended our recent Summer Solstice Celebration show in Kimberton Park, last Saturday. It was our first time playing there and we loved it. Kimberton Park is just down the road right behind Kimberton Whole Foods. It has a beautiful natural amphitheater and a great band shell. The Mighty Manatees will return to perform there on Thursday, July 18. This is another free, all ages, outdoor show. Pets, incense, and coolers welcome. Showtime is 6:30 - 8:00 PM. THE GLENEFIT - Longtime Manatees friend and supporter, Glen Harris, is on the waiting list for a heart transplant. His medical bills are considerable, so we are playing a benefit for Glen and calling it a "Glenefit". It will be held on Sunday, July 21, at Harry's Tap Room in Blue Bell, PA. Showtime is 4:30 - 7:30 PM. We're trying to Glend him a helping hand.
SUMMER BLOCK PARTY - We love a good block party. The whole neighborhood comes out and it gets very neighborly. On Saturday, July 27, we will be playing an all ages, outdoor block party at 55 Latschar Lane, Spring City, PA. Showtime is 6;00 - 10:00 PM. Special thanks to Neighbor Blaise.
MIGHTY MANATEES YOUTUBE CLIP OF THE MONTH - Because we are so close to the 4th of July, we thought that we should feature a clip with some real fireworks. This was filmed in 2005 in Harleysville, PA, at a Jeep-A-Thon. Our version of "Fire On The Mountain" by The Grateful Dead, morphs into our song "Desire" while explosions go off in the night sky right above our heads. The band features a dread-locked Ras Mykyl on drums, Randy Wagner on bass, Karl Frick on organ, Chris DelSordo on sax and flute, Kathleen Weber on background vocals, and myself on electric guitar. JASON CROSBY ON THE LATE SHOW W/ STEPHEN COLBERT - This week, occasional Mighty Manatee keyboardist/violinist Jason Crosby, was on The Late Show w/ Stephen Colbert. And, finally, we were all very saddened to learn of the untimely passing of our good friend Joan Greer. She was a wonderful woman, mother, grandmother, and the loving wife of fellow musician Mike Greer. We played at Mike & Joan wedding. This world has lost her warm and positive life force. There will be some music making in her honor at The Sellersville Moose Lodge this Saturday, June 29, at 1:00 PM, following Joan's funeral service.
