Symposium: Across The Board:'Institutional Building'

Nubuke Foundation, Dei Centre
 
Tate Modern will collaborate with with Nubuke Foundation, Dei Centre and Art in Social Structures
to host a three-day event interrogating one of the most critical aspects of art as engine for
social transformation: institutional building.
 
The symposium will be held at the Nubuke Foundation, Dei Centre and the National Museum of Ghana.

Exhibition: We are Africa
1-31 March 2013

[A multi disciplinary collaborative, exhibitions, performances, workshops, panel discussions and food fest]
 
Celebrating the 56th aniversary of Ghana's independence. This exhibition brings together
eight Contemporary Ghanaian artists who will explore the meaning of our independence from the perspective of other African countries.
There will be performances, installations, talks and art workshops during the month of March.
Look out for events in the city throughout the month of March.
Don't miss the food fest. Sample foods of Africa like akple,ugali, gari, atseke, yaka yake,abolo,couscous on 6 March 2013.

Art Dubai is committed to creating a platform whereby the world’s most influential galleries come
together and engage with the booming regional art scene.
Nubuke Foundation joins 4 other galleries from West Africa in the Marker Fair- the curated stands
at Art Dubai 2013.
This year's theme looks at 'Cities in Transition' and explores the changing nature of cities through the works of artists.
The Marker concept is being curated by Bisi Silva, director of CCA, Lagos.


 
TALK PARTY
Eha-Lakasa- Ghana Poetry Group is 5 years in 2013.
 
This community of poets promote and encourages free forms of self expression on the genre.
Slam poets, performance artists, theatre groups, local musicians,
and basically anyone with an artistic bone in their body are invited to the first session this year.
We will also be hosting a small 'zine' fair for all those budding artists and graphic designers.
Become a part of the experience.
