Native Plant Conservation Campaign News: Colorado Native Plant Appreciation Week Proclaimed

Colorado has exciting news! The Colorado Native Plant Society (CoNPS) is pleased to announce that Governor Hickenlooper has proclaimed June 10-16 as Colorado Native Plant Appreciation Week.

 

June 10, 2016 is the 40^th anniversary of the founding of the Colorado Native Plant Society. This  year CoNPS will have evem more to celebrate! There will be a celebration of CO Native Plant Aprreciation Week at the Audubon Society of Denver amphitheater at Chatfield State Park. The event will feature speakers, live music (by a local native plant nursery owner who sells a lot of native plants), refreshments, a pot luck,  book sale, and plant and seed swap.

 

One of CoNPS' founding members, Dr. William (“Bill”)  A. Weber (author of Colorado Flora), will be at the celebration.
