European researchers are experimenting with how best to use wildflowers strips to support beneficial insects and cut pesticide use in agricultural settings. 
 
Wildflowers have been found to support insects including hoverflies, parasitic wasps and ground beetles has been shown to slash pest numbers in crops and even increase yields in agricultural settings.
