In The Spotlight:   The Great Train Ride was one of the park's original attractions, and was planned to be part of the transportation network connecting the multiple themed areas planned for the property. Live steam trains were a staple attraction at most theme parks, but the cost of operations has led to the demise of many park railways in favor of more thrilling attractions that require less maintenance.
