We're excited to share this "Idea of the Week", submitted by either the MAiZE staff or one of your fellow siteowners. There never seems to be a shortage of ideas and the truth is that some of the best originate with all of you! So, if you ever have an idea you'd like us to pass along to the group, please just send it our way. Also, please remember that we'll be archiving these ideas on the siteowner web site, so that you can go back and view them whenever you like.
Farm to Fork...
This week's idea was the discovery of Sherrie Reeder of Staheli Family Farms in Washington, UT. Though there are several versions of the program throughout the country, the one shared here spotlights family farms in Oregon. Farm to Fork (a traveling farm to table restaurant) has a purpose of "reconnecting people to the source of their food and honoring farmers". For more details on the program, visit www.farmtoforkevents.com. For those of you growing your own crops/produce, there may some fun opportunities to piggyback on the idea and host a special event for VIPs, the media and/or even just interested customers.
