1. You may be tired of hearing this message from me but the largest study of its kind just confirmed that social media substantially lowers your mental health. In this case, they used Facebook but it has been proven with all social media outlets. I included the final paragraph below as well as a link to the research.

"The full story when it comes to online social media use is surely complex. Exposure to the carefully curated images from others’ lives leads to negative self-comparison, and the sheer quantity of social media interaction may detract from more meaningful real-life experiences. What seems quite clear, however, is that online social interactions are no substitute for the real thing."

2. In another study, researchers found that teenage addition to pain medication may begin after having their wisdom teeth removed. About 7% of teenagers went back to their doctor for opioids within 12 months of being prescribed an opioid for the extraction. 7% seems small at first but when we consider those kids' lives as well as the impact on society, that same 7% is huge.
