We are excited to announce the return of our Dances once again to Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Every effort is being made to insure the health and safety of all those who choose to attend, in order that this Spiritual Practice which means so much to so many of us may continue to enrich our lives. This year's gathering will be co-facilitated by Sky Roshay, Jen Friedman, and Douglas Stevenson, dance leaders who have offered their music and hearts in year's past, and who have taken on the organization necessary to bring us together once again.

The retreat will be held in the usual location outdoors on the beach side of Gota de Sal. We will again use the Alaska Dance House as our base, including meals and evening music. In order to better insure everyone's safety, Attendance will be limited to 40 dancers, not including leaders, staff and musicians.

Catered Breakfasts and Dinners!
In order to limit our exposure in town and deepen the intimacy of our group, breakfasts and dinners will be provided during the Dance Retreat at the Alaska House.
Our deepest and sincerest thanks to Jan Freedman Bezuidenhout and Kevin McTernan for their service. We are asking each person to sign up for a volunteer shift in meal preparation shifts during the retreat. (More on this after you register)
COVID Guidelines and Precautions
In order to make this as safe and stress-free as possible, we ask you to agree to these COVID guidelines:
For 10 days before the event starts:
- Avoid crowds and large indoor gatherings
- Limit non-essential activities like going to the hair salon, massages, etc
- Avoid any other possible situations where you could be infected.
- Use caution for all interactions with others before the retreat
Please wear a mask in public places and socially distance during this time if you aren't already.
Travel - Please wear a mask while traveling to Puerto Morelos. Recommended - Wear an N95 mask:
- During air travel, including in airports and shuttles
- Ground transportation
- Any other times you are with large groups of people.
- Wear a mask when inside a store.
- Eat only at restaurants which offer outdoor seating.
- Please only engage in maskless close contact with those who you know are participating in the retreat.
- Please plan daytrip or side trip excursions for AFTER the Dance retreat.
Pre-Registration and Vaccination, and Testing
Please fill out our Covid Liability Waiver form You will be asked to provide proof of vaccination at time of pre-registration, including a booster shot if you are eligible for one before the retreat (6 months after the Moderna/Pfizer OR after single J&J shot). You must bring proof of a negative PCR COVID test taken within 72 hours before camp begins, administered either before you leave the U.S. or from the hospital in Puerto Morelos. A PCR test is necessary as these are the most accurate and produce a reliable time stamp. Because of possible breakthrough infections, this is the best indicator of possible illness, The second best is any flu symptoms; if you are having those, please don't come! There are a few local Covid test sites in Cancun and Puerto Morelos and we will include that information in the welcome letter provided after pre-registration.
Registration in Puerto Morelos
We ask each person registering to bring TWO Rapid COVID tests with them from the U.S. We will have some extras on hand, but most likely not enough for everyone. The retreat will begin with a catered dinner on Tuesday evening. Upon initial arrival and registration at the Alaska House, a greeter will meet everyone to make sure they have proof of their COVID test and vaccination status and are pre-registered and paid. Each person will be required to administer a Rapid test and present those results to complete registration and entrance to the event. Our greeter(s) will assist if necessary, but try to become familiar with how to administer the test you bring. Please wear a mask until you complete your registration process, including a negative rapid test result. A wrist bracelet will be provided for use on subsequent days.
During the Dance Retreat
You may choose how much social distancing or other precautions (masks, hugs, etc) you are comfortable with. Please know that others will probably have other standards and be respectful of that. Also please come willing to help keep even the most vulnerable among us safe by your caution and awareness.

Cancellations:
- Cancellations before January 7 receive a full refund, minus a $25 handling fee
- Cancellations January 7-14 receive a full refund, minus a $50 handling fee.
- No Refunds after January 14, unless the spot can be filled via the waiting list. $50 handling fee
Accommodations Gota de Sal We have reserved 10 rooms at the Gota de Sal hotel for arrival Monday Jan.24 - Monday Jan. 31 departure. Each room has two beds, a mini fridge, bathroom. Priority for Gota rooms will be given to those who can commit to that whole time frame and double capacity.

Alaska House
We have reserved Alaska House for arrival Sun. Jan. 23-Tuesday Feb 1 departure. A full kitchen is available and two shared bathrooms.
Please note that communal meals will be held at the Alaska House, including daily meal prep time in the kitchen and evening music sessions in the living room open to our full group.
There are two beds in a shared room available upstairs.
