SURREY SCOUT WATER ACTIVITIES CLUB

Hi ,

If the following is not of interest to you, but you know someone who may be interested, please forward this email.

After a bleak period, where our club events were on hold due to Covid rules, the Scout Association relaxed the restrictions enough so that we were able to support various Groups to get on the water.

Now, with further relaxations of restrictions, the club is able to begin a more normal programme. I have attached a proposed programme, but be aware that residential events are most at risk of not running, very much dependent on being able to organise accomodation. Local events are less likely to be at risk, though dates may be changed. For now, even before the invites go out, please let us know of your interest in any of the events.

I have attached an invite to the September FSRT course. We need a minimum of three to attend, and we already have one taker, and staffing has been arranged.

I intend to issue an invite to the September Discover/Explore course, but understandably, as we ease back into it all, I need to know that I have the staff required to make it run. If you can help in any way, please contact me, stating your interest in helping with kayak or open canoe, what your Permit, if held, allows you to do, and the award/s your British Canoeing status allows you to assess.

Please bear with us while we get back up to speed, and if you have a particular need, let me know so we can try and prioritise it.
