Ashwin Chauhan would like to put together a bulk order for Nomad Print boxes (like the ones you often see carried by lecturers to BPS). If anyone is interested in buying them please contact Ashwin at a.chauhan@blueyonder.co.uk or tel: 01275 833568.

As a guide, a 21"x17"x3" heavy duty box with handles which holds 50x40 cm prints (strange how we still mix metric and imperial units in the same sentence! Ed)  costs £26 plus postage. Details of boxes can be found by the following web link

Something For The Anoraks!
Jason Cross and Timeline Events are offering an opportunity to photograph steam and dieselmotive power in an event reminiscent of the changeover period of the mid to late 1960s. Two locomotives will be in steam, these being visiting Ivatt ‘2MT’ Class 2-6-0 No.46521 and Riddles ‘5MT’ Class 4-6-0 No.73129, the latter very near the end of its current boiler ticket. Alongside these will be the Midland Railway Centre’s DMU in green livery with whiskers, which will allow them to recreate scenes similar to those that would have been seen during the 1960s on British Railways.
The shoot will take place in and around the Swanwick Junction station site and will make use of the now complete and impressive station buildings, footbridge, signals and the former Kettering signalbox to set up some typical 1950’s cameos. The night shoot will run from approximately 18.00 until approximately 22.00 hours and will feature the locomotives with passenger stock and with goods stock.
The cost for this event will be £40.00 per person and numbers will be strictly limited to ensure comfortable photographic conditions for participants.
