The next meeting of the DI Group is Monday 10 June when, as usual, all members are welcome (7.30 at the clubrooms). Members are encouraged to bring along any work that they would like to show, whether it be prints or projected images and whether it is because you want some advice or comment about your pictures or you just want to show off your latest masterpieces.
Ashwin has asked me to request that if you are bringing images for projection, that you bring them on a memory stick and not on a mobile device such as a phone or tablet. This is to avoid the problems that have been encountered a couple of times recently when a mobile device has obviously fallen out with the club PC and as a result the system has frozen up. Please also make sure that your images are in jpeg format which makes the projection a whole lot simpler.
Oh, I nearly forgot - there's always Ashwins famous Chocolate Hobnobs to look forward to!

The Arena Group of southern based photographers, of which our own John Chamberlin is a member, will be holding a major exhibition at the Menier Gallery in London from the 10th - 22nd June.
Over 200 images will be on show over two floors, with each member of the group showing a related portfolio of their recent work. Among those exhibiting will be Tim Rudman, Tony Worobiec, Trevor Crone and Colin Summers whose images of the war in Libya have been published in the Times and Guardian. All the images will be framed under glass and entrance to the gallery is free. The venue is at 51 Southwark Street, SE1 1RU, close to London Bridge Station and just five minutes from Tate Modern. If you are in London during the dates above, why not pay the gallery a visit. Opening times are 11am - 6pm Mon-Thurs. and Sat. and 11am - 8pm on Fri. It is closed on Sunday.
