The RPS Travel Group has a couple of events coming up in the near future:
12 May: An Evening at the Travel Photographer of the Year Exhibition. 18.30 - 21.00
A leisurely visit to the Exhibition in the company of Chris Coe, founder and CEO of TPOTY who will share the tips he has gleaned over twenty-one years running the competition, encouraging you to look at ways in which your images can be made to stand out among the thousands of entries he sees every year.
Enjoy the 2022 winners and learn how to be a winner yourself.
13 May: Sense of Place - Some Different Perspectives 10.00 - 17.00
A series of presentations and workshops based around the 'sense of place' that we are always looking for in Travel Photography. Paul Sanders will bring his vast experience as a news photographer and picture editor as well as his experience as a workshop leader to bear in his presentation 'Seeing Uniquely', explaining that seeing in your own way is the key to making your images stand out. Stewart Wall will use his research and his experience as Chair of the Photobook Distinctions Panel to help us understand more about the features of a successful Photobook and will explain how he believes Haiku Photography is a potential methodology for creating strong concepts and narratives about a ‘sense of place’.
Tickets from £25 (includes entry to TPOTY exhibition above)
