Editorial:
Welcome to 2017
Our beautiful waterway is alive with holiday makers enjoying the
festive season and our pleasant, if not rather hot weather.
Once again the Dog Race was a great spectical with even more visitors
and boats attending to watch around
48 dogs swim between the Island and Church Point. Pittwaterpathways
have great little video of the race which can be viewed at this link - https://youtu.be/xyS9kMlJhKQ
- fantastic drone shots !
For this first edition I have included both an Emergency Water Message
& Guideline and the Community Vehicle Guideline for all to be
reminded how and what these services offer and what is expected of
users of these services. It is also good to remember that these are in
the main voluntary services operated by folks that
live in this community.
Speaking of volunteers in our community, I would like thank every
single one of our volunteers, from the amazing First Responders Unit,
Fire Brigade members, our associations members, Water Monitors,
Community Vehicle vounteers, to the guys working our waterways that
will drop everything to help out, and everyone else that has dedicated
their time to our little communty. Your interest, passion and
contributions to help make this place we live in a better, friendlier,
safer and more inclusive community does not go un-noticed. This place
would not be what it is without your input and is in part, why we all
love living here.. So thank you all again.
Have a wonderful New Year and best wishes from the Editor.
