At 3AM MDT today the Government of Mexico issued a Tropical Storm Warning for the tip of Baja California Sur.

The current forecasts call for TS Patricia to make a radical turn to the west late tonight or early tomorrow morning. The forecast depends on the development of a High pressure ridge west of Baja. Should this ridge not develop as expected the storm may proceed further north than currently forecast. Therefore. residents of the southern portion of Baja California Sur should begin preparations for Tropical Storm force conditions in the next 24-72hrs. The problem arising from Tropical Storm Patricia is the amount of time it may spend very close to the tip of the peninsula.
