From left to right: Gwawr Davies, Parent, Mrs L Harper, Acting Head Teacher, W Bro Bryn Barton, Strumble Lodge Charity Steward, RW Bro Stephen D Hookey, Provincial Grand Master and Alison Folder, Chairman of the Friends of Portfield School.

Portfield School has around 140 pupils aged between 3 and 19 years old with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and other sensory & physical difficulties.
When the students themselves asked The Friends of Portfield School to raise £7,500 for Outdoor Gym Equipment, Roy Barker the Treasurer of the Friends of Portfield School wrote to Dr Bryn Barton, Charity Steward of Strumble Masonic Lodge to ask for his help. As a result of Bryn’s hard work, Strumble Masonic Lodge in Fishguard donated £500 towards the appeal and the £4000 which was added by The Grand Charity of the Masonic Province of West Wales made the students dreams a reality.
