Meet Tim at the Home Depot in Edgewood: 2703 Pulaski Highway (HWY 40). As you enter, park in the right back (southwest). Excellent woodcock habitat. Bring a good flashlight if you have one, as well as binoculars. Please get there no later than 6:50PM
(around 15 minutes before sunset). If you’ve never seen this interesting bird (its flight/mating display), or would like to see it again, contact Tim by e-mail thoughton@loyola.edu (preferred) or call 410-510-7504 in order to register.

Pickering Creek Audubon Center: 
Citizen Science- Citizen Science for Birds Workshop March 3, 10-11:30am: This is the kickoff meeting for our bluebird and nest box programs as well as an introduction to all our citizen science bird programs at Pickering. Everyone one is welcome However, those intending to continue bluebird or wood duck nest box monitoring or who are interested in participating in one of these two programs  are especially encouraged to attend if at all possible. 
 
Education and Outreach-Community Habitat Installation: Help Audubon staff install bluebird nest boxes at Cambridge Club in Cambridge on March 11 from 3:30-5:30pm and at  Magnolia Meadows on March 9 from 4:30-6:30pm. This project is part of an ongoing habitat enhancement  and community outreach in these two neighborhoods. 
  
Habitat Restoration- Marsh Grass Restoration Day will be held on March 28, 9:30am Support Pickering Creek Audubon Center’s restoration of salt marshes at Blackwater NWR. Join us for a morning of planting salt marsh grasses at the Refuge. Then enjoy a pizza lunch and a guided tour exploring the impacts of sea level rise on this unique ecosystem and strategies that can protect marshes into the future. You will be planting in muddy, shallow water, so wear old shoes or boots.   A limited number of waders will be available on a first come first served basis.
