Issue #151
February 2018
Hello & Welcome!

It's been a wild & woolly few weeks since the last edition of Kat Bytes!
We spent a week in California for the Road to California Show, we released the Go-Go Compact (our first new pattern of 2018), AND we also added a brand new zippertape style! To say we've been busy is an understatement! And even now we're in throes of readying ourselves for the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival which is next weeK! YIKES! So while I get back to work, enjoy this month's newsletter and by the way...
Happy Valentine's Day!
And... if you're anywhere in the vicinity of Hampton Roads, VA we'd love for you to stop by our booth next week at MAQF and say "hello!"

This striking Baggalista was created by Georgia Segura of Pasadena, TX, who stopped by our booth at Quilt Festival in Houston, TX last Fall to show it off. If you look closely, Georgia also bedazzled the flap!

And this feline-themed Guardian was created by Sylvia Turner of the UK as a gift for an American friend.
Brenda Eggleston of Franklin, OH used our now-retired pattern, the Harmony Handbag to create this beautiful tote bag!

And since I love all things black & white,  I naturally was quite taken with Brenda Eggleston's Walkabout Wallet in harlequin. Here's a peek at the inside.
And this Carolina CarryAll looks crisp and feminine in white eyelet. Brenda Eggleston wisely added a "leatherette" base to this bag to aid in keeping it clean and crisp longer!

This captivating HipBag Hybrid was created by Diane Rhodes of Monroeville, PA. Don't you just love the coordinating accessory items she added ?
And last but not least is this spectacular Triple Play by Patti Foley of Ocala, FL. Can you believe that Patti combined two pillow panels, mattress ticking, chambray and a paisley cotton to create this bag? She says she can't wait to show it off and I can't blame her!  :)

The StudioKat Designs Group page (on FaceBook)

So.... we've started a brand new PRIVATE FaceBook page for our customers and I guess the obvious question is.... why? And there's more than one answer to this question, so here goes...
1- Facebook has once again changed their algorithym. What does that mean? Well... even though I am by no means an expert on this topic, but the short answer is, it's becoming more and more difficult for you to see posts by business pages such as ours, even for businesses that you "like".
2- YOU get the opportunity to post pictures, comments or questions of your own on this page! How cool is that, right?
So... does this mean we're abandoning our old FaceBook page? Not at all! But out of necessity we'll be 'stepping back' from it in favor of the new group platform where we can be sure our message is actually heard! We'll continue to post on our FaceBook business page... though perhaps not as often as we once did, but if you want to be sure to actually SEE all of those things, I would suggest you click HERE and give our new FaceBook group page a try!
You'll need to answer two quick questions for me (to prove you're neither a bot or a stalker) but I promise I'll approve your request as soon as possible! And thanks in advance for your understanding!
