These certainly feel like dark times, however, Chelsea Manning’s release from prison yesterday was a ray of sunshine for many of us. With only person-to-person outreach, and people proactively asking, “How can I help Chelsea?”, our community has stepped up to raise nearly all of Chelsea’s fines. We’re at $255,000 of the $265,000 goal, in just 24 hours! Read more.

Mike Ferner was a Navy corpsman who interacted with planeloads of wounded servicemen returning to the US from Vietnam. "The first time I walked up into that plane, I just almost fell over. ... On both sides, there were no seats, but just hooks for the stretchers to be placed on. And so, four or five high all the way down both sides of the plane were stretchers with wounded [and] it just took my breath away." Listen now
