Spotlight:The Indian City of Benalmadena

If you are a fan of Indian cuisine, we highly recommend you visit Raju's Indian City, it is without doubt one of the most best loved Indian restaurants on the Costa del Sol. Centrally located in the heart of the Benalmádena Costa, Raju 's Indian Restaurant City is now in its 11th year of serving great quality Indian food. The beautifully designed restaurant boasts an exquisite range of dishes made with authentic Indian sauces accompanied by chicken, vegetarian, fish and lamb entrees.
Raised in Mumbai, India, Malinder Singh Sachar opened Raju's Indian City in September 2002. He openly admits that he initially learnt to cook through necessity rather than through choice. '' When I bought Raju's Indian City, I quickly began to learn the importance of being the main man behind the restaurant, which meant managing the whole place from top to bottom starting with the Kitchen".  ''I gradually learned by trial and error, he says, but it was the positive feedback I began to receive from my clients, which led me to the belief that there was a genuine cook inside of me''

So what kind of food can we expect from Indian City.. ''Our kitchen is dedicated to North Indian food along with Tandoori dishes, which feature marinated meat and Indian bread but we also prepare some South Indian dishes''.
With such an abundance of Indian restaurants on the coast, what keeps your customers coming back after 11 years.. With a smile Malinder replies. ''Now that’s a million dollar question, every morning I get up with this question in my head''.
''To put it simply, if customers are looking for a place where they can get great food, with great service, at great value for money, we are definitely one of the best''... ''Yes we seriously try to get these things right and we also work to build a level of trust through the quality and consistency of our food, we have found that if you manage to get these things right, customers will recommend you to their friends''.
''Its been eleven years and I am still learning, trying to give my best and making sure we always start with high quality ingredients from reliable sources''...  ''We use Tita Spices in a wide range of our dishes, particularly their Ginger and Garlic Pastes, Turmeric, Cumin and Garam Masala.

Yes, the company is new to the area, but their spices are always fresh, they have great packaging, their prices are also very reasonable, but most importantly they are a local family run business which gives me a lot of confidence in them.
