Merry Christmas!

I still pinch myself each morning ...I can't believe it is Christmas Season .....we wait and wait and bam!!

I trust you have family and friends to celebrate the most special time of year with.....if you don't...just look up...you always have a friend who knows more about this holiday than all of us put together...the Reason for the Season.


I thought I would share my all time favorite Christmas Coffee drink with you...because you are special!

It's better if only served at Christmas......

Coffee Noel~

8 teaspoons honey
4 whole cloves
Peel of 1 orange.... white membrane removed
Peel of 1 lemon..... white membrane removed
2 cups Brandy
4 cups hot brewed coffee ( I use a coffee with Chicory for this )

In a chafing dish (or deep stainless steel pot) combine honey (or sugar) clove, orange and lemon peels and Brandy.

Heat until warm. Spoon some of the brandy into a ladle. Set aflame. Lower ladle into dish. Slowly pour in coffee. Stir gently.

You can top with whipped cream if desired....I think the real flavor holds better left unadorned.

Serve in tall cups....

Makes about 8 servings

Recipe can be doubled if needed.
