NEWS FOR CAT LOVERS
===================================

How old is your cat in human years? Well, it's not their
years times 7. That doesn't work for dogs, either. It has
more to do with species, breed, lifestyle, genetics and health.
Here's an article to help you figure out how to figure it out:

http://glendora.patch.com/articles/how-old-is-your-pet-why-multiplying-by-7-wont-work-a556b8e2

---------------------------

Real-life cat burglar: Family pet 'Denis the Menace' has
stolen hundreds of items from neighbors... http://bit.ly/PpWNEq
Another good reason to keep cats indoors!

---------------------------

Sponge Bob the 33-pound tabby dies:

Thanks to Maggie for this news item!

Call to authors again:
Do you like to write about your kitties? I'm finally writing
my next book, but I need some help. Here's a chance to get
your story published and possibly make some money at it, too!

Thanks to all of you who have sent in your stories already!

Help Feed Shelter Animals

Don't forget to visit these sites as often as you can and
click on the shelter-feed links. There is no cost to you
to do this, but it can only be done once per day.

even a wrong answer gives a donation.)

You can sign up for their daily reminders, too, if you need
a little nudge, like I do.

There have been more petfood recalls.

TAKE ACTION TO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED
===================================
How to help animals:

Always remember to check with your local shelter
to see what they need. Your donation will go directly
to the animals, in sharp contrast to some of the large
national groups, whose donation income goes toward
large administrative salaries and other expenses, not
necessarily for animals. That said, there is one large
sanctuary I do endorse: http://www.deltarescue.org.

Watch for your next issue of The Kitty Times in 2 weeks!

May all who are lost, be found. May all who are ill,
be well. May all in harm's way, be saved. May all
without homes, be loved.
