NPCC Leaders:

The following is an invitation to NPCC Affiliates to join the Plant Conservation Alliance Non-Federal Cooperator Committee.

Some of your organizations are already Cooperators. If so disregard this invitation. You can check if your group is a PCA Cooperator here

Thanks!

Hello from the Plant Conservation Alliance Non-Federal Cooperator Committee!

As organizations interested in plant conservation, we'd like to invite your organization to the Plant Conservation Alliance (PCA - plantconservationalliance.org).

The PCA is a partnership between 12 Federal agencies (the Federal Committee) and over 350 state, local, and academic organizations (the Non-Federal Cooperator Committee, NFCC). Together, these committees work to advance native plant conservation and restoration through initiatives such as the National Native Seed Strategy (www.blm.gov/programs/natural-resources/native-plant-communities/national-seed-strategy).

The NFCC also advocates for botanical research and education, including promoting the "Botany Bill", which is currently introduced in the US House of Representatives (you can find information on the Botany Bill (HR 1054) on the NPCC Speak Out for Plants Page)

Joining the NFCC is easy - just fill out a form for your organization (https://plantconservationalliance.org/join-us). There's no cost involved, and organizations can be as involved as they would like.

If you have any questions about the PCA, the NFCC, or how your organization can get involved, please email info@plantconservationalliance.org.

Thanks for all you do for plants!

Best,
- Evelyn Williams, Andrea Kramer, and Kay Havens from the Chicago Botanic Garden, which chairs the PCA NFCC
